Yongbin Li is a Principal Research Scientist at Alibaba's TONGYI Lab, where he specializes in large language models (LLMs), including code models, character models, post-training techniques, and intelligent agents. He developed Tongyi Lingma, a coding copilot and agent that is currently the leading coding assistant in China, and has recently launched the international version of Tongyi Lingma. Additionally, he is engaged in several other LLM technologies, such as Tongyi Xingchen (Character Model/Role-playing Agent), Tongyi Xiaomi (Intelligent Customer Service), and Tongyi Tingwu (Audio and Video Assistant).
Since 2020, he has published over 90 papers in top international conferences (ICLR, NeurIPS, ICML, ACL, EMNLP, CVPR, etc.) on topics related to LLMs, code models, and character models, achieving an H-index of 28. He has also served as an area chair for ACL, NAACL, and WSDM.
