Roberto Di Cosmo is a computer scientist whose recent work bridges AI and software. After a career in programming languages and formal methods, he now focuses on large-scale software analysis and code transparency. A long-time advocate of Free Software, he founded and directs Software Heritage, the largest archive of public source code, used today to train responsible AI models. He also chairs the Software chapter of Franceβs National Committee for Open Science and sits on the board of the IMDEA Software Institute.
