Markus Tavenrath studied computer science with a focus on computer graphics at RWTH Aachen University. This academic background provided a solid foundation for his career in the technology industry. In 2008, Markus joined NVIDIA, where he began working on real-time ray tracing on GPUs. Over the years, he has contributed to performance optimization for ray tracing, scene graphs, OpenGL, WebGL, Vulkan, and AI. His work has played a role in advancing these technologies.
